Through a career straddling the public and private sectors, Gail has over twenty five years’ experience of working strategically at a senior level on market access activities including horizon scanning, HTA, medical communications, research and analysis and medicines management.
With a strong analytical focus and wide project and programme management experience, she has delivered national projects and initiatives that are supported by a policy framework and relevant legislation and regulation. Gail has broad experience and in-depth knowledge of market access activities in Scotland having worked in all areas within SMC, with particular expertise on horizon scanning for new medicines in clinical development. Since becoming a consultant, she has been pivotal in many successful HTA submissions to SMC, providing expert support and guidance to clients on all facets of the SMC appraisal process. Gail has exceptional editorial capabilities and she is able to ensure that all HTA submissions are focused, evidence-based and reflective of the competitive landscape. She is skilled in crafting a compelling narrative around a product and its place within the treatment pathway and in advising how to navigate through the potential challenges within HTA processes.
